Sound Installation

A sound installation inspired by night sounds. Shown below as installed at Jane St. Art Center, Saugerties, NY as part of my 2022 solo exhibition An Other Music. Handmade paper lotus leaves hang suspended from the ceiling & transmit sounds from above. Water-filled jars bounce light into the space, creating moving shadows & reorient perception of space. The audio is a field recording from an undisclosed location in Maine, where I spent many pre-dawn hours capturing the sounds of a lake & its inhabitants.
